The Role:

As a Senior Content Designer at Tinder you'll work hand-in-hand with cross-functional partners to design, write and edit content for mobile and web interaction flows, as well as create, apply, and evolve our style guidelines and design processes.

As an advocate for our users, you'll use design thinking, empathy, and research to help shape and refine our product and identify opportunities to build better experiences for our users. You’ll need to be proactive and comfortable with ambiguity and problem-solving – you’ll be juggling multiple high-priority, high-impact projects and prioritizing them to have the greatest impact for your team and the company.

This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration three times per week. This position is located in West Hollywood (Preferred) or San Francisco.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with Product Designers, Product Managers, and User Researchers to design product flows that are simple and intuitive for users, focusing on contributing compelling language and content 
  • Develop overarching content strategies for our products and features to ensure they reach the right person at the right time and in the right way, and work with teams across product to ensure these strategies fit seamlessly together
  • Work with Legal, Localization, and Member Experience to ensure our products are appropriately and responsibly launched
  • Contribute to and help govern our content standards and be a champion for best practices
  • Understand how to balance business requirements and user needs when building features
  • Manage and prioritize projects with multiple stakeholders across different time zones
  • Build compelling long-term strategies that allow content to scale globally
  • Use metrics and research to advise and validate your work


What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience doing UX Writing or Content Design within a product org, for digital tech products 
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, UX, HCI, or equivalent practical experience 
  • UX writing portfolio including, but not limited to: information architecture, user interface copy, microcopy, in-product user education, transactional emails and notifications, and/or style guides
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and stay focused when faced with changing requirements and ambiguity
  • Experience collaborating with Product Management, Product/UX Design, User Research, Engineering, and Localization teams 



Bonus points if you have:

  • A passion for crafting products for a global audience so that they’re effective across world cultures
  • Experience creating systems and guidelines that lead to consistent, reusable product content 
  • Previous experience working with a Gen Z audience 
  • Familiarity with Figma and other design tools

Salary Range:

$145,000

a year

Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
