The Role:

Match Group (MTCH) is seeking a motivated and talented attorney to join Match Group’s Tinder Legal Team.  This position will be based in West Hollywood at Tinder’s offices, providing day-to-day legal support to our Tinder brand across the Americas, and will report to Tinder’s Director, Senior Counsel.

Know where you belong. Match Group is a leading provider of dating products across the globe. Our portfolio includes Tinder, Match, Hinge, PlentyOfFish, The League, and others, each designed to spark meaningful connections for singles worldwide. Creating a sense of belonging doesn’t stop at our products - it’s the foundation of every team we hire.

How you’ll make an impact:

    • Contract Drafting and Negotiations: Draft and negotiate contracts and agreements with partners and vendors to protect the company's interests and ensure compliance with relevant laws. Collaborate closely with business partners and cross functional teams to tailor agreements that support business objectives while maintaining appropriate risk management
    • Brand Advisory: Assess potential risks and provide strategic legal solutions to minimize exposure on creative concepts, marketing materials and partnership structures. You will help ensure compliance with advertising laws, consumer protection standards, intellectual property laws, and clearance obligations for marketing campaigns, press promotions, events, sponsorships, and partnerships.
    • Interdepartmental Legal Support: Partner directly with both business teams including marketing, media buying, comms and business development, and cross functional legal teams, including litigation, privacy, and data-security, to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal guidance that supports business goals. Participate in strategy and creative sessions to offer real-time legal input and build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
    • Compliance and Security Oversight: Ensure business practices align with corporate policies, particularly in vendor relationships, data privacy, and financial operations. Monitor internal procedures, identify potential risks, and exercise sound judgment on when to independently resolve issues or escalate concerns.
    • Resource Development and Management: Develop and maintain legal resources - including templates, playbooks, and guidance materials - to help business teams navigate common legal considerations with clear and practical guidance. Contribute to training and knowledge-sharing initiatives that promote consistent practices across teams and regions.
    • Legal Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve legal processes and responsibly use AI to enhance efficiency and workflows and, to streamline document management and routine legal reviews. Maintain strong ownership of projects from initial issue spotting through resolution.

We could be a match if:

    • You have a law degree from an accredited institution and the eligibility to practice law in California, either through admission or qualifying for in-house practice.
    • You have at least four years of relevant legal experience, ideally combining training at a top law firm with experience supporting in-house business teams.
    • You are curious, driven, and biased for action – balanced with a mature understanding of when to run independently versus collaborating with senior leaders.
    • You have experience with marketing and technology law, consumer protection, partnerships, and drafting and negotiating related contracts.
    • You have a strong understanding of privacy laws, intellectual property, digital and social media, and influencer endorsement regulations within the consumer internet sector.

    • You demonstrate adaptability and a strong client-service mindset, in fast-moving environments where priorities may shift - approaching requests from stakeholders with professionalism, responsiveness, and a solutions-oriented perspective.
    • You collaborate effectively with both legal colleagues and cross-functional teams, building trust with stakeholders through thoughtful communication and reliability.
    • You exercise sound judgment in prioritizing work and escalating issues appropriately.
