The Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager II to join our Cloud Infrastructure team. In this role, you will lead a team of six engineers, focusing on building internal tools for incident management and infrastructure automation.

Where you’ll work:

This is a hybrid position and requires in-office collaboration twice per week in West Hollywood, California.

You will:

  • Lead a team of 6 engineers to maintain existing and develop new tools to improve our incident management process and automation.
  • Identify manual tasks and develop tools to automate them.
  • Define and own platform objectives and key metrics, developing a strategic roadmap for your team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional/platform teams to execute the roadmap, delivering high-quality results promptly.
  • Drive technical, design and product discussions with teams across the organization to define and scope requirements.
  • Establish the technical direction for the team and lead the team to achieve it.
  • Mentor and coach your team for career development.
  • Recruit and assemble a world-class backend team.

You'll Need:

  • 7+ years of professional experience building scalable backend services.
  • 2+ year(s) of experience leading engineering teams.
  • Experience with Python, Go, Javascript or a similar language.
  • Cloud platform experience: AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer or a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate the team to exceed expectations.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
  • Comfortable working with legacy code and implementing effective strategies for improvement.
  • Ability to communicate and implement solutions-oriented improvement.
  • Experience collaborating within a small team while working interdependently within a cross-functional organization.

Salary Range:

$200,000
-
$230,000
a year

Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
